The following report is based on a 4 day hands-on test of a production Canon EOS-1D done in early December, 2001. The camera was kindly loaned to me byCanon Canadashortly after it first arrived into their hands. (Serial # 2135).
I have published a more more formal review in the March / April issue of the American magazinePhoto Techniques. (â��Now online). What I hope to provide here is a real-world evaluation of the camera, much as you would do if you had this camera for a few days. In particular I have focused on a side-by-side comparison with the Canon D30, a camera that I am very familiar with.
